Surrogate Sessions in Quantum Hypnosis: What They Are and How Consent Works
A Quantum Hypnosis session is usually done for yourself. Sometimes the situation is different, though: it’s about a child or a loved one who, for one reason or another, can’t take part themselves. In that case, a surrogate session can be held. In this article, I explain what a surrogate session is, who it can involve, and how consent is handled.

What a surrogate session is
In a surrogate session, Quantum Hypnosis is carried out on behalf of a third party, for example a child, a relative, or a friend. It’s a less common option than a personal session, and it’s always arranged separately.
Who a surrogate session can involve
In my experience, surrogate sessions most often involve children. Occasionally, though more rarely, it’s also an adult who can’t take part themselves, for example because of illness, but who is still able to decide that someone does the session on their behalf.
A surrogate session always requires a bond or relationship between the person doing the session and the third party, for example between a parent and child or close friends. A surrogate session can’t be done for just anyone.
Consent is always required
A surrogate session always requires the third party’s consent. From an adult, I need written confirmation of their consent, for example an email confirmation or other contact from the person the session is for.
If it’s a teenager, or a child who is able to understand what it’s about, the parent should discuss it with the child and obtain their approval. For younger children, the responsibility lies with the parent.
These practices are also included in my terms and conditions.
How a surrogate session works
A surrogate session works the same way as a regular session. The only difference is in the opening conversation, which also covers the third party, their situation, and any questions related to them or questions they would like to ask. In the session, the person who goes into a trance-like state is the one doing the session on someone else’s behalf, and they experience things on that person’s behalf.
In a surrogate session, the relationship between the person experiencing the session and the third party often comes up as well. With a child, this might mean, for example, why certain things keep recurring in the relationship between the child and the parent taking part in the session, or in the child’s everyday life, seen from the child’s point of view. Sometimes it can also reveal how a parent’s own experiences, expectations, or feelings are reflected onto the child and show up in the child’s behavior. This can help a parent meet the child from new starting points and understand entirely new perspectives as well as cause-and-effect relationships.
Experiences are always individual, and I can’t promise what will come up in a session or what effects it will have. Nor is the aim to blame anyone, but to look at the relationship honestly and understand it better.

Partial surrogate sessions
Sometimes a surrogate session addresses the third party only in part. This can be the case, for example, when looking at intergenerational experiences or patterns. In that situation, you can ask permission from, for example, your own parent to put a question to them on their behalf during the session.
The idea is that the person experiencing the session is themselves one link in a chain across generations. When a question is asked with the parent’s permission, it can also affect what the person experiences and understands in the session. As with any surrogate session, written consent is always required.
Experiences are always individual, and I can’t promise what will come up in a session.
What a surrogate session is not
A surrogate session is not medical treatment and does not replace care provided by a healthcare professional. I don’t promise a specific outcome, just as with any other session. If it’s a matter of illness or an acute situation, the first place to turn is always healthcare.
